“... pack a punch like they’re a veteran touring rock band...” Big Blue Tunes, 2016

“... I haven’t seen that many teenagers in authentic, united excitement over anything in years...” Young Mary’s Record (2016 “Bet The Farm” Predictions)

“... These lo-fi, deep blues jams are some of the catchiest, most aggressive, and most vibrant I have heard since the early White Stripes record...” For The Record
The Summit
The Summit is an Ohio born supergroup firmly built on the foundation of soulful blues rock n' roll. Highly energized performances and melody-infused anthems define the band as one of the region's most powerful and heavily anticipated rock outfits.

The band includes Chris Scott (lead vocals/harp), Mike Hennel (drums/vocals), Leo Clarke (guitar/vocals) and David Heffron (bass/vocals). The Summit have taken some well-loved time-tested recipes and put their own mark on them. "You might be able to identify some of their influences, but they're not just copying licks. You can cop an attitude, but you can't fake soul. They got soul!"

Collectively, the group has over 60 years of tour experience; recording and playing with Grammy award winning and Hall of Fame inductees. Some of the artists they have recently shared the stage with include Robin Trower, Buddy Guy, Kenny Wayne Shepherd Band, JJ Grey and Mofro, Rusted Root,Victor Wooten, Davy Knowles & Backdoor Slam, Blues Traveler, Indigenous, Candlebox, Seven Mary Three, Bernie Worrell, Peter Frampton, and Derek Trucks.

Most recently, Scott completed a residency down in Nashville, TN wiritng and performing with some of the country's most accomplished musicians. He also worked with Grammy nominated artist and producer, Lincoln Parish (Cage the Elephant), on the production and release of Gypsy Comet's EP entitled, Burn it Down.

Scott's experiences in Nashville have placed him firmly back to his roots as a singer-songwriter and he raves about The Summit's heavily anticipated new material by reaffirming the groups unique sound: "Working these guys over the past few months has made me realize how easy song-writing can be. I've been wiritng with Mike for well over 10 years and our library of material is endless. Leo's incredible slide ability and the amazing respect he carries throughout so many blues markets has made us realize how collectively powerful this group is!"
